Today, according to Travis J. Tritten, there are 2,018 military blogs from 37 countries registered on Milblogging.com, a site that tracks the military blogosphere.

How many bloggers are there from World II, from Iwo Jima, from the first wave on Iwo Jima? I think I'm it. If there are more, please let me know, i want the company.

We can learn a lot from our boys in other countries, in the service, protecting our way of life. We can learn a lot from those who have gone before. I will be passing along what the boys are doing now, how our great country supports them, and I will be passing along what we already learned. We each have a story to tell, and its best not to have learn the same thing over again. There are two types of Marines, the ones who learn from other's mistakes and then there's rest of us.

At first I was a bit miffed at seeing "how to get free stuff" from our Marines. But I got to thinking about it and I am glad people want to advertise--or honor-- our marines with tee shirts and bumper stickers--so I guess I'm not so miffed after all.
